The Philadelphia 76ers, often referred to as the Sixers, are a professional basketball team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Established in 1946 as the Syracuse Nationals, the team became the Philadelphia 76ers in 1963. The 76ers have won three NBA championships: in 1955, when they were still the Nationals; and in 1967 and 1983 after relocating to Philadelphia.

The team plays its home games at the Wells Fargo Center, located in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. Known for their rich history and iconic players, including Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, and Allen Iverson, the Sixers are a key team in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.

    In the NBA, each team plays 82 games each season. This includes the following;

    • Four games versus four in-division opponents (16 games)
    • Four games versus each of six out-of-division opponents (24 games)
    • Three games each versus the remaining four out-of-division opponents (12 games). The four out-of-division opponents that are played three times each are determined by a five-year rotation.
    • Two games versus each of the 15 teams in the opposite conference (30 games).
