The Sacramento Kings are a professional basketball team based in Sacramento, California. Founded in 1923 as the Rochester Seagrams, the team has undergone several name and city changes before becoming the Sacramento Kings in 1985. They moved to Sacramento from Kansas City, where they were known as the Kansas City Kings.

The Kings have won one NBA championship, which they secured in 1951 when they were based in Rochester, New York.

The team plays its home games at the Golden 1 Center, a modern arena located in downtown Sacramento. Known for their dedicated fan base, the Kings have been an integral part of Sacramento’s sports landscape.
