The Memphis Grizzlies are a professional basketball team based in Memphis, Tennessee. The franchise was originally established in 1995 as the Vancouver Grizzlies in Canada. In 2001, the team relocated to Memphis and became the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies have not yet won an NBA championship. They have experienced competitive success, particularly in the 2010s, with multiple playoff appearances and a reputation for their tough, defensive style of play known as “Grit and Grind.”
The team plays its home games at the FedExForum, located in downtown Memphis. The Grizzlies are an integral part of Memphis’s sports community and have developed a strong local following.
